7.1) Human Capital Strategy

In 2002, Urban Group became the first company in the Hong Kong property asset and facility management industry to reform its "Human Resources Department" to "Human Capital Department". Urban respects its employees as valuable human capital and continuously invests in training and developing employees' potential. It reflects Urban's philosophy of "People Focus and Treasure the Value of Human Asset". Urban's new management concept of "Human Capital" is to enable each employee to know the importance of "Personal Value" and develop our "Collective Corporate Value". This may assure Urban to have the strengths in continuously developing its new businesses and sustaining our leading position in the Hong Kong property asset and facility management industry.

To align with Urban's business development direction, the Human Capital Department has implemented 2 main human capital strategies:

1. Human Quality Enhancement Strategy - through recruiting elites; adopting performance-based compensation and benefits mechanism; encouraging employees to acquire new knowledge continuously; and setting up employee reward and recognition program to enhance the quality of human capital in Urban Group.

2. Human Knowledge Management Strategy - to lead employees to learn new knowledge actively through "Value Cloning" and "Corporate Culture Rejuvenation". Urban Group also adopts knowledge management to enhance employees' value towards life-long learning.
