1.7) Corporate Citizenship

Urban cares our Community

The Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) of Urban Group range from compliance with health and safety regulations for employees; to volunteering services; to environmental protection; to corporate governance and to total quality management.

To encourage the spirit of volunteering within the Group to echo our Core Driver of "Community Care", the Urban Group Community Care Committee (CCC) was established in June 2002 with full support from the top management.

The CCC has 14 members from different departments and sections. The "Urban Group Community Care Team" (CCT) was established under CCC through the recruitment of over 300 members, and has registered as an approved volunteers supplying organization in the Social Welfare Department.

The CCT actively participates in various social and volunteering services such as home visits to the elderly, household repairs and cleaning for the elderly, scarves knitting campaign, flag sales and charitable activities of various organizations and books donations. The Team also acts as a role model to motivate our customers to join volunteering services to echo the appeals for volunteerism in the society, as well as achieving our goal to become Hong Kong's Premier Community Manager.

The Urban Group CCT is a core member of the Steering Committee on Volunteer Movement of the Social Welfare Department.
