Urban Group recently received 222 awards in the programme of “2020 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence” (2020 HKAEE) from the Environmental Campaign Committee, commending the Group’s contributions in implementing green management and adopting eco-friendly business practices.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, “We are committed to integrating environmental concerns into our business operations and implementing an all-round green management through actively promoting environmental sustainable policies and measures. I am delighted that more of managed properties have been awarded the participation certificates this year, which reflect the Group’s concerted efforts in promoting environmental protection towards a greener future for the city.”
“Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence” is an environmental award scheme organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee alongside the Environmental Protection Department and in conjunction with 9 organizations, namely, the Advisory Council on the Environment, the Business Environment Council, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Productivity Council. The award scheme aims to encourage enterprises and organizations to implement environmental management and to recognize enterprises and organizations with excellent performance on environmental management.
