Urban Group is recently awarded the 8+ Year Caring Certificate in the Industry Cares Recognition Scheme organized by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) to recognize its CSR achievements. In particular, the Group has been awarded for 9 consecutive years, which commended its continuous contributions in engaging in social services and serving the community.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, “Urban Group has devoted crucial resources to various CSR projects including its remarkable ‘Caring Day’, visiting elderly, fund-raising events of the Community Chest and the Social Welfare Department Volunteering Movement Campaigns so as to build CSR as a popular corporate culture over the years.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, volunteer team is still committed to providing caring supports to the needy by preparing Gift Packs and distributing the anti-epidemic cleaning supplies. Moreover, the Group also advocates innovative social services through online visits and shooting videos to care physical and mental health of elderly as well as perform the Group’s Corporate Citizenship continuously.
The Industry Cares Recognition Scheme has been organized since 2013. The Presentation Ceremony was held on 28th September 2021 and was officiated by Dr Law Chi-kwong, Secretary for Labour and Welfare of the HKSAR Government. This year, the scheme is specifically themed “Integrating into the New Normal and Injecting Positive Energy” to recognize that enterprises demonstrate corporate social responsibilities under the pandemic through the creative use of innovation and technology and care to disadvantaged groups in society and their employees.
