Urban Group received the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) “Outstanding Employer Award” on 6th March, 2021, commending the Group’s effort and continuous contribution in providing employment opportunities to the ERB trainees and assist them in personal development and career planning through Urban’s lifelong learning culture.
Dr. Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, “It is our honuor to be awarded in ‘ERB Manpower Development Scheme’ for 13 consecutive years and granted “Outstanding Employer” continuously, ensuring our efforts in occupational education and professional trainings over the years. We regard human capital as the most valuable asset, the Group cares employees and gives unfailing support to ERB during COVID-19 by providing a wide range of employment opportunities in the fields of property & facility management, security and maintenance services etc. We believe practice-based courses offered by the ERB totally matched industry needs.”
In addition, Ms. Amy Cheng Mei Kuen, an outstanding Urban Group’s staff, received the "Merit Award for Trainees" in recognition of her excellent performance and achievement in workplace as well as her positive attitude towards life and career after finished ERB training course. She kept improving herself by joining the Group’s training course, and she showed exceptional competence by managing the Building Management System on her own. Her positive attitude was highly appreciated by the clients and working partners.
The ERB Annual Award Presentation Ceremony 2020-21 was held at the Southorn Stadium in Wan Chai on 6th March 2021, which was officiated by Dr. Law Chi-kwong, GBS, JP, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare and to commend the awarded organizations that offering employment opportunities to the ERB graduate trainees, providing on-the-job training and career development opportunities to candidates recruited, assisting in the promotion of the courses and services of ERB, shouldering corporate social responsibilities and helping the underprivileged to secure employment.
