18 property volunteer teams under Urban Group awarded the “Caring Estate Certificates” in the Caring for Our Community 2019 Campaign organized by the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service of the Social Welfare Department (SWD) to recognize their contribution and commitment in voluntary services. In particular, the volunteer teams of Belair Monte, Cheong Shing Court, City One Shatin, Lei King Wan, Pok Hong Estate, The Merton and The Metropolis received the “Leading Caring Estate Certificate”, commending their substantial voluntary services performed and continuously encouraging the spirit of volunteering over the past year.
The “Leading Caring Estate” Certificate was presented to the 7 property volunteer teams who had accumulated over a total of 7,200 voluntary service hours last year to motivate their residents joining various volunteer activities.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group remarks, “Urban Group encourages our staff members and customers to participate in voluntary services organized by SWD and have been supporting the “Caring for Our Community’ Campaign since 2005 to mobilize our customers in the 390 properties under our service to form their own volunteer teams to serve the community.”
