Urban Group is recently granted the “ERB Outstanding Employer Award” in the “ERB Manpower Development Scheme” organized by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB), as a recognition of the Group’s effort and continuous contribution in providing employment opportunities to the ERB trainees and assist them in personal development and career planning.
Dr. Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, “This is the 12th consecutive year for the Group to be awarded in the ‘ERB Manpower Development Scheme’. It is our pleasure to obtain the ‘ERB Outstanding Employer Award’ again this year. We regard human capital as the most valuable asset and keep focused on occupational education and professional trainings. Over the years, we have been actively supporting ERB and providing a wide range of employment opportunities in the fields of property & facility management, security and maintenance services etc. Practice-based courses offered by the ERB and the qualifications of ERB graduates were totally fit for our business needs.”
A total of 40 corporations was granted the employer awards in the “ERB Manpower Development Scheme 2019-20”, to commend their active contributions which include: offering employment opportunities to the ERB graduate trainees, providing on-the-job training and promotion opportunities to candidates recruited, assisting in the promotion of ERB courses and services, demonstrating corporate social responsibilities in giving hands to social groups with special needs to secure employment etc.
