Four companies under Urban Group including Urban Property Management Limited (“UPML”), International Property Management Limited (“IPML”), Broadway-Nassau Investments Limited (“BNIL”) and Turning Technical Services Limited (“TTSL”) recently received the Partner Employer Certificates (5 years), jointly presented by the Hong Kong Chamber of SMEs and the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council. Above all, UPML also received the “Outstanding Company Certificate”, commending their contributions in providing career opportunities for local graduates.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group said, “I am pleased to be awarded the Partner Employer Awards for 7 consecutive years. We always value quality human capital and have been providing opportunities to fresh graduates. To fulfil our mission in developing young potentials, we have participated in various career development schemes throughout the years, including, ‘Job Shadowing Programme’, ‘VTC Industrial Attachment & Industrial-based Student Project Scheme’, ‘Summer Internship Programme’. In 2017, we have employed 37 local graduates and intern-students and assigned experienced colleagues to mentor them so as to enhance their competitiveness.”
The Partner Employer Award Project was started in 2010, and has attracted over 2,000 companies offering job opportunities to more than 20,000 people. The project helps the graduates to have a better life planning and a smoother transition from campus to workplace. Other than the young graduates, the beneficiaries include disabled persons, rehabilitated persons, retrained graduates, ethnic minorities and the retired persons.
