Date: 31/10/2017

Urban Group and its 6 associated companies, namely Urban Property Management Limited, International Property Management Limited, Turning Technical Services Limited, i-Urban, Urban Technical Services Limited, Urban-Wellborn Property Management Limited and 82 properties under the Group’s management support the 2017 No Air-Con Night launched by Green Sense.

Urban Group has supported the No Air-Con Night for 7 consecutive years. This year, 82 properties including residential estates, commercial buildings, government facilities and educational institutions joined the activity. It is estimated that every participated household could reduce 5.6kg of carbon emission by joining this meaningful event.

“According to Green Sense, air conditioning systems account for 30% of all electricity consumption in Hong Kong every year. During Summer times, energy consumption could even boosts to 60%. Unfortunately, hot weather is getting longer every year. It is a strong signal for us to reduce carbon emission through using air conditioning systems wisely,” said Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group.

“Supporting No Air-Con Night is a good move for us to change our behaviour to protect the environment. We very much hoped that this event can influence our stakeholders to take up their social responsibility and build a sustainable environment to combat global climate change.” Dr Edmond Cheng continued.
