Date: 17/7/2017

In the Award Presentation Ceremony for the Charter on External Lighting held on 15th June, 2017, 34 properties of Urban Group were awarded Platinum and Gold awards respectively.

The Environment Bureau launched the Charter on External Lighting (the “Charter”) in April 2016 to invite owners and responsible persons for external lighting installations to switch off lighting installations of decorative, promotional or advertising purposes which would waste energy and cause nuisance to the outdoor environment during late night. “It is encouraging to know that out of the 34 awarded properties of Urban Group, 20 properties are awarded the Platinum Award as they have switched off external lightings from 11pm to 7am on the following day, whilst the other 14 properties that switch off external lightings from midnight to 7am received the Gold Award.” said Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group.
