Four companies under Urban Group including Urban Property Management Limited (“UPML”), International Property Management Limited (“IPML”), Broadway-Nassau Investments Limited (“BNIL”) and Turning Technical Services Limited (“TTSL”) recently received the Partner Employer Certificates, jointly presented by the Hong Kong Chamber of SMEs and the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council. In particular, UPML was specially presented with the “Outstanding Company Certificate”, commending their contributions in providing career opportunities for the local tertiary educated graduates. The award presentation ceremony, held on 18th November, 2016, was officiated by Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, GBS, JP.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group said, “I am pleased that Urban Group has been awarded the Partner Employer Awards for 6 consecutive years. We have been providing career opportunities and work experience for the fresh graduates for a number of years. In 2016, we employed a total of 50 graduates and intern-students. Our experienced colleagues were assigned to partner with them in handling different tasks, so that they could accumulate invaluable and practical work experience.”
The Partner Employer Award Project has attracted over 2,000 companies over the past 7 years, offering job opportunities to more than 15,000 people. The project helps the youth to have a better life planning and have a smoother transition from campus to workplace. Other than the young graduates, the beneficiaries include disabled persons, rehabilitated persons, retrained graduates and the ethnic minorities.
