Urban Group was recently invited by the Social Welfare Department Kwun Tong District Coordinating Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service to share the experience of its corporate volunteer team - The Urban Group Community Care Team on volunteer services at the district. The article was published in the Volunteers' Story booklet published by the Committee to encourage the general public to join voluntary services.
Volunteers of the Urban Group Community Care Team were invited to attend the new release of the Volunteer's Story booklet on 3rd August 2013 to share their joy in performing volunteer work.
Mr Peter Ng, District Social Welfare Officer, Kwun Tong District of the Social Welfare Department said in the new booklet ceremony, "Kwun Tong District Coordinating Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service recently collected touching volunteering stories happened in the district and compiled into a booklet so that we could enable members of the public to share the fruitful outcome of volunteer work so as to promote the message of harmony and care in the district."
Ms Janna Cheng, Senior Group Manager - Human Capital of Urban Group, one of the members of the Kwun Tong District Coordinating Committee and a member of the editorial board of the new Volunteers' Story booklet said, "Urban Group is most honoured to have participated in the editorial work of the booklet. Through compiling different stories of volunteer services, we may encourage more people to join in volunteering and experience the changes bring to their own lives as well as to those of their service targets."
