The Corporate Website of Urban Group recently won the Gold Award and the Property Websites under the i-Urban™ Portal of Urban obtained outstandingly 55 Silver Awards in the Web Care Award 2006 organized by the Internet Professional Association (iProA), making Urban one of the major winners of this important recognition in 4 consecutive years.

The Urban Group Corporate Website not only provides substantial features and information for the users, but is also installed with specially designed mechanism for the visually impaired people. Whereas the i-Urban™ Portal specializes in establishing unique websites for properties managed by the Group. It combines information-laden websites and online property management concept to provide 24-hour updated property news and a variety of online services for its customers.
In organizing the Web Care Campaign, iProA aims to encourage both the public and private organizations in Hong Kong to offer ¡¥barrier-free¡¦ and easily accessible websites for the needy communities so that more people can benefit from Internet services. They published the ¡§Easy Guide to Building No Barrier Web Sites¡¨ booklet in 2001 to provide guidelines to web site designers, commercial organizations and media channels on how to build up web sites that can be used by different parties of the community.
According to Dr Elizabeth Quat, President of iProA, the Web Care Award receives enthusiastic response from 100 organizations with more than 200 websites being awarded the recognition in 2006. This indicated an upward-moving trend of private companies to take up social responsibilities and to develop businesses through the internet platform.
