Three Security Guards of Urban awarded Best Security Guards

　　The three security guards were respectively Mr T H Ho from Un Chau Estate, who was awarded the "Best of the Best Security Guard Bronze Prize", and Mr Y S Cheng and Mr S C Lam of Mei Foo Sun Chuen received the "Best Security Guard" Award, showing their performance were well recognized by the Police as well as the industry.

　　The award presentation ceremony was held on 27th March at the Kowloon Police Sports and Recreation Club. Ms M Stradmoor, Regional Commander of the Kowloon West Region said on the ceremony, "the purpose of the Best Security Guards Selection was to award security guards of Kowloon West who assisted the Police to fight crime and performed outstandingly. We received 170 nominations and 26 best security guards were selected. Hence, the quality of the awarded guards was very high. I sincerely hope that they can maintain their best efforts to fight crime and contribute to the prosperity of Hong Kong."

　　Ms Miriam Lau, Chairman of the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority said, "the selection can enhance the morale of security personnel, upgrade their service quality and social status and increase the recognition of the industry. I expect all security personnel would try their best to provide good quality security service for the people of Hong Kong."

　　Mr P C Lau, Deputy Managing Director of Urban was delighted that 3 security guards of the Group received award during this selection. " Urban emphasizes very much on the standard of service provided by our security guards. They receive regular training to upgrade their quality so as to provide the best service for our clients. The 3 awarded guards performed extremely well in their daily work to maintain the security and order of the estates. Their outstanding performance set a good example for their colleagues and they really worth the award," said Mr Lau.

　　Urban Group is the largest property and facility management group in Hong Kong. The Group is currently managing 300 properties exceeding 150,000 residential units over the territory. In the past years, over 400 security guards of the group had received various awards from the Police and the industry showing its high standard of security services was being well recognized.
