Establishment of Urban – Wellborn Property Management LimitedA Joint Venture Property Manager for Sereno Verde in Yuen Long

Sereno Verde, a joint venture project developed by New World Development and Henderson Land in Yuen Long is being completed from December 2001. To provide quality management services to the owners of the property, the management subsidiary of the developers, the Urban Group and Wellborn Property Management Limited, have jointly formed Urban – Wellborn Property Management Limited in March.

The Contract Signing Ceremony for the Establishment of Urban – Wellborn and for the Management Service of Sereno Verde was held on 14th March 2002 at the sales office of the property. Officiating guests of the Ceremony had Mr Tai Kuen, SBS, JP, Chairman of Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee; Mr Andrew Wong, Executive Director of New World Services Limited; Mr Suen Kwok Lam, Executive Director of Henderson Land Limited; Mr Peter Ho, President of The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies as well as Dr Edmond Cheng and Mr P C Lau, Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director of the Urban Group.

Urban –Wellborn provides 24-hour professional management services to the residents of Sereno Verde including daily management, building repair and maintenance, security, cleaning and community relations services. In addition, the company will design a web site for the property and introduce a number of value-added services to the residents.

During the Contract Signing Ceremony, Mr Andrew Wong emphasized, “the establishment of Urban – Wellborn signifies the co-operations between Urban and Wellborn, two leading property management groups in Hong Kong. Through their endeavours to provide quality services to the residents of Sereno Verde, we comprehend the spirit of fair competition and mutual development in the industry.”

He said, “we strongly believe that through the co-operation between the two companies and various government departments and local organizations, Urban – Wellborn can provide a decent and serene living environment for the residents.”

Whereas Chairman of Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee Mr Tai Kuen SBS, JP said, “apart from the modern infrastructures, good property management is essential to the development of a community. Good management helps to build up a comfortable living environment for the people.”

Mr Tai was delighted to know that the management subsidiary of New World Group and Henderson Land Limited have worked together to provide quality and professional management services to the resident of Sereno Verde.

Located at Tai Tong Road in Yuen Long, Sereno Verde is at the hub of transportation and nature protection zone in the district. The property is divided into four phases for occupation and is facilitated with spacious car parking areas and luxury clubhouse for the residents.

The Urban Group and Wellborn Property Management Limited are two major property management companies in Hong Kong. Established in 1981, the Urban Group is the property and facility management arm of New World Services Limited. Currently, the Group is managing 300 projects with over 150,000 residential units in the territory.
