Urban joins Environmental Protection Ambassador Scheme for Private Housing Sector

To provide quality property management services to its customers so as to create an ideal living and working environment in Hong Kong is always the working mission of the Urban Property Management Group. Apart from establishing a "green" practice in its daily management service, the company has recently joined the Environmental Protection Ambassador Scheme for Private Housing Sector organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) and the Environmental Protection Department (EPD). The company has assigned its staff to attend a series of training courses to enrich their knowledge in environmental protection, which enables them to assist in promoting the message of environmental protection and to encourage green practices in the daily living of its customers.

Four staff members of Urban have completed the training courses in the Scheme and were appointed as "Environmental Protection Ambassador for Private Housing Sector" by the ECC and the EPD during the Launching Ceremony of the World Environment Day 2001 held on the 3rd of June. They received the Certificates of Appointment from Mr C K Tong, Vice Secretary for the Environment and Food Bureau and Mr Peter Ho, President of the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies.

Mr P C Lau, Executive Director of Urban said, "our company is actively participating in the activities organized by the Government and other green organizations to help promoting the importance of environmental protection to the people of Hong Kong. I am glad that four staff members of Urban have successfully completed the training courses and were appointed as 'Environmental Protection Ambassadors for Private Housing Sector '. This shows our commitment in promoting environmental care to our customers. As a socially concerned property management company, we always try our best to promote the message of environmental care to the residents and to establish environmental protection practices in our management so as to create a pleasant living environment for our residents."
