Opening of the New Head Office of The Urban Group

The new Head Office of the Urban Property Management Group, which is the major property management arm of the New World Services Group, at Trade Square, Cheung Sha Wan was officially opened on 11th May 2001 signifying a new page of Urban's business development.

Located at Units 710-723 Trade Square, 681 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, Urban's new office occupies a floor area of over 20,000 sq ft, which equipped with modern facilities including a 24-hour call centre, a decent reception area, a number of spacious meeting and interview rooms and a 600 sq ft, fully equipped training centre for internal training purposes.

Staff members from different departments of the Urban Group, including the estate management, commercial management, administration, human resources, training, technical, security, information technology and community & public relations, have started removing to the new head office from early May.

The Opening Ceremony of Urban's new Head Office was officiated by Mr Andrew Wong, Executive Director of New World Services Limited as well as Mr P C Lau and Mr Edmond Cheng, Executive Directors of the Urban Group.

Mr Andrew Wong said, "The removal of the Head Office of Urban is in line with the Group's corporate re-engineering process. It helps to project the professional, modern and dynamic image of the Group and enables staff members from various departments to work under one roof, leading to greater efficiency and better communication as well as enhancing a more effective service delivery to its clients."

Mr Wong stressed that Urban would continue to provide the best service to its clients and to maintain the closest working relationship with its business partners in order to reinforce its leading role in the property management industry.

Urban Property manages 290 projects over the territory with 140,000 residential units, 30,000 parking spaces and 17 million sq ft of commercial & industrial premises. It is also the major property management agent of the Hong Kong Housing Authority and Government Property Agent managing substantial government properties including 18 public rental estates, 25 Home Ownership Scheme Projects and a number of Government Offices and Quarters. Since 1994, the company has been extending its service to the Central to Mid-Levels Escalator and Walkway System to provide its professional service to the public facility.
