One Beacon Hill (OBH) at Kowloon Tong under the management of Urban Group recently received the "Merit Award - Best Landscape Award for Private Property Development 2018" from Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). The award was presented in five categories, One Beacon Hill obtained the Merit Award in Medium-scale Domestic Property (2-4 domestic buildings and with no more than 1,500 domestic units) - Properties between 6 and below 21 years of age. The Management Office of OBH has been devoting efforts in beautifying the surroundings and greening the environment throughout the years, which was well recognized by the judges of the Award.

One Beacon Hill is one of the largest private luxurious residential estates in Kowloon Tong, which comprises 38,000 sq. ft. of landscaping area under site coverage of greenery at 76%. Urban Group has formulated comprehensive landscape maintenance plans since it took over the management of the estate to provide quality greening areas to the residents including garden design, tree management as well as plants repair to ensure plants growing healthily. In addition, Urban also set up organic farm, planting area and recycled leftover as fertilizer for promoting green and low carbon living. Hence, residents of OBH are able to participate in organic farming and support environmental protection.The Best Landscape Award for Private Property Development is organised by Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and co-organised by the Home Affairs Department, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects, the Institute of Horticulture (Hong Kong), the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the Professional Green Building Council and the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies. It aims to bring sustained improvement in the environment and promote green living style continuously by giving recognition to private properties and facilities.
