Urban Group recently received the ERB Outstanding Employer Award for 10 consecutive years in the tenth Employee Retraining Board (ERB) “Manpower Development Scheme” Award Presentation Ceremony held on 10th March, 2018, commending the group’s endeavours and contributions in developing talents for the property management and security service industries.
“This is the 10th consecutive year for us to obtain the ERB Outstanding Employer Award. We have been creating extensive job opportunities throughout these years.” Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, “Since 1999, we have been partnering ERB and various employment-related welfare organisations and educational institutes, such as The Methodist Centre, New Territories Association Retraining Centre, Hong Kong Young Women Christians Association and The Caritas Hong Kong, to recruit retrained personnel to join our teams.”

The ERB Award Presentation Ceremony was officiated by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin Chung, GBM, GBS, JP, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Dr. Law Chi Kwong, GBS, JP, the Commissioner for Labour, Mr. Carlson Chan Ka Shun, JP, and the Chairman of ERB, Dr. William Leung Wing Cheung, SBS, JP. A total of 39 companies were awarded to commend their effort and support to the ERB. Over the last 25 years, ERB has provided over 2.5 million training places. They are one of the vital sources to provide local workforce for various industries to meet the changing manpower demands of the society, thereby contributing to the overall competitiveness of Hong Kong.
