Urban Group recently received d 252 awards in the “2021 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE) and Hong Kong Green Organization Certification (HKGOC)”, commending our outstanding achievements in green management and collaborative efforts in adopting environmental practices. In particular, 31 properties managed by Urban Group were granted the HKGOC and recognized as Green Organizations; while 221 properties under the management of Urban Group received the HKAEE certificates, in recognition of their continuous contributions to environmental protection.

Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, “We are committed to integrating environmental concerns into our business operations and implementing an all-round green management through actively promoting environmental sustainable policies and measures. I am delighted that more of managed properties have been awarded the participation certificates this year, we will continue to implementing green management and adopting eco-friendly business practices in our operations.”
The HKAEE and the HKGOC are sponsored by the Environment and Conservation Fund and are jointly held by the Environmental Campaign Committee, the Environmental Protection Department and in conjunction with nine organizations. The programme aims to commend organisations that have demonstrated excellent environmental performance and to encourage organizations in different industry sectors to sustain their environmental initiatives in four major aspects, namely waste reduction, energy saving, carbon reduction and indoor air quality improvement.
