Parc Palais (PP) at Homan Tin and Eight Kwai Fong Happy Valley (EKF) under the management of Urban Group recently received the "Merit Award - Best Landscape Award for Private Property Development 2023" from Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). The award was presented in five categories, PP obtained the Merit Award in Large-scale Domestic Property (Properties between 6 and below 21 years of age) while EKF obtained the Merit Award in Small-scale Domestic Property (Properties between 6 and below 21 years of age)
The Management Office of PP and EKF have been devoting efforts in beautifying the surroundings and greening the environment throughout the years, which was well recognized by the judges of the Award.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group states that, "Urban Group always strives to shoulder our corporate social responsibility by participating in various environmental care activities. The Group established its Green Care Committee in 2002 to stipulate strategies and directions on environmental protection, aiming at providing a comfortable and green environment for the residents. The Award well demonstrates the high standard of PP and EKF in green management. It also reflects the quality partnership among Urban Group, the owners’ committee, talents and the residents to improve the green living environment and to raise the aesthetic standard of the property.”
The Best Landscape Award for Private Property Development 2022 is organised by Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and is co-organised by Home Affairs Department, The Hong Kong Institute of Architects, The Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects, Institute of Horticulture (Hong Kong), The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, Professional Green Building Council and The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies. It aims to bring about sustained improvement in the environment in private property developments and promote greening by giving recognition to private developments that excel in landscape design and horticultural maintenance and encouraging private bodies to incorporate more green elements of quality in the planning and management of horticultural efforts for the benefit of such developments.
