20 property volunteer teams under Urban Group awarded the “Caring Estate Certificate” in the Caring for Our Community 2020 Campaign organized by the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service of the Social Welfare Department (SWD) to recognize their contribution and commitment in voluntary services. In particular, the volunteer teams of Riviera Gardens and The Merton awarded the “Leading Caring Estate Certificate”, commending their substantial voluntary services performed and continuously encouraging the spirit of volunteering over the past year.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group remarks, “During the outbreak of COVID-19, various voluntary activities were cancelled. Nevertheless, volunteer teams under Urban Group are still playing an active role through organizing and participating in a number of social services such as providing emotional support to the elderly on the phone, joining blood donation campaign, distributing caring packs and promoting charity tickets. Those awarded property volunteer teams under the Group have accumulated over 4,000 voluntary service hours in the past year to perform corporate citizenship.”
Urban Group have been supporting the Caring for Our Community Campaign since 2005 to mobilize our customers in over 400 properties under our service to form their own volunteer teams and serve the community.
