Urban Group receives the ERB Outstanding Employer Award for 9 consecutive years

Urban Group recently received the Employees Retraining Board (“ERB”) Outstanding Employer Award as a recognition for the company’s contributions to the ERB “Manpower Development Scheme”.

Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group said, “I am much delighted to be awarded as the ERB Outstanding Employer for 9 consecutive years. Urban Group has been cooperating with the ERB and its appointed training bodies in different recruitment campaigns since 1999. Our business focuses on property and facility management services, which require a high demand of manpower with extensive knowledge and skills on building maintenance, crisis management, financial control and daily operations of a building. The training courses organised by ERB cater for Urban Group’s development plan. ”

“We have established a long term partnership with ERB and its appointed training bodies. In 2016, we hired 380 ERB graduates. We also support the ERB’s Squad 3S Programme by offering on-the-job training to 20 re-trainees, providing job opportunities in different properties and assisting them to establish their career ladder.” Dr Edmond Cheng added.

In recent years, Urban Group has received a number of Human Resources related awards, including the ERB Manpower Development Grand Award, the Manpower Developer 1st Award, the Employers Gold Star Award - Platinum Award, the JobMarket Employer of Choice Award, etc. in recognition of the group’s effort to provide job opportunities, a better working environment and promising career prospects for its employees.
