Seven companies under Urban Group recently received the Social Capital Builder (SCB) Logo Awards in the 3rd SCB Award Presentation Ceremony organized by the Community Investment & Inclusion Fund (CIIF) of the Labour and Welfare Bureau (LWB) to commend their devotion in practicing the spirit of good social capital building in the past two years.

The Award Presentation Ceremony was held at the Tamar Central Government Offices on 6th January 2017. The SCB Awards aim to recognize the contributions of enterprises to the development of social capital. Also, it commends enterprises and organizations which practice the spirit of good social capital building in Hong Kong.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group reveals, "We are most delighted to have received the SCB Awards, which is indeed an encouragement to our staff and reflects our continuous contributions to the development of social capital. In addition, the Awards have proven that we are achieving our goal to become Hong Kong's Premier Community Manager.”
Dr Edmond Cheng continues, "Throughout the years, we are dedicated to build up a caring community through actively involving in organizing and participating social service activities including the Trailwalker, Green Power Hike and programs under the Social Welfare Department Volunteering Movement Campaign. We have set up our corporate volunteering team, the Urban Group Community Care Team, since 2002 to enhance our social participation."
“Every year, Urban Group collaborates with NGOs, including TWGHs, Po Leung Kuk and YWCA to launch the UG Caring Day event so as to help the people in need and contribute to establishing a harmonious society,” Dr Cheng added.
