Urban Group's Facility Management Services extends to Cyberport

The Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (Cyberport) has appointed Urban Property Management Limited (UPML) to manage the Cyberport project for 3 years commencing from 1st October, 2016.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group said, “We are most delighted to have the opportunity to serve Cyberport.  The Cyberport facilities management service contract is another milestone to UPML, after we obtained the service contract for the Hong Kong Science Park in Shatin in 2014.  Both projects are the well-known innovation and technology hubs in Hong Kong and worldwide, assembling leading multinational companies and professions.”

According to Dr Edmond Cheng, UPML will provide comprehensive and quality facilities management services to Cyberport starting from 1 October 2016.  Since mid-August 2016, the company has deployed a strong team of over 100 staff to work with the management of Cyberport for a smooth handover.  UPML’s service team incorporates specialists in assets management, technical, quality & safety assurance, IT, legal, procurement, human resources and accounting, assuring their service provisions can fulfill the stringent requirements and expectation of the tenants and users at Cyberport.”

UPML’s facilities management services for Cyberport cover a total of 120,000 sqm of the state-of-the-art facilities, including four grade-A intelligent office buildings, a retail entertainment complex, a recreation park and playground, as well as the nearly 800 Cyberport community members.  Moreover, UPML has enhanced the management team with technical experts to manage the wide arrays of venues in Cyberport with hi-tech facilities and equipment.

In addition to Cyberport and the Hong Kong Science Park, UPML is now managing a strong portfolio of private and public facilities including the Hong Kong EcoPark in Tuen Mun, the Victoria Shanghai Academy in Aberdeen, more than 33,000 parking spaces in 78 car parks under Link Management and 48 properties and facilities under the Government Property Agency across the territory.
