Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group reveals, "Urban Group has been cooperating closely with various green organizations to support recycling and reuse of resources. We strive to disseminate the green messages and good practices on environmental protection to our customers."

Dr Edmond Cheng continues, "We have been participating in the recycling programme of Christmas trees, peach blossom and Chinese New Year plants launched by HKEPA since 2012. The residents and properties purchase various plants for decorations during festival periods. However, these plants are usually disposed in landfills afterwards, which worsen the landfills and lead to a waste of valuable timber resources.

Hence, we encourage our customers to participate in the recycling campaign organized by HKEPA. We have much pleasure to support and are committed to contribute to a sustainable green living environment."

The recycling programme of Christmas trees, peach blossom and Chinese New Year plants was organized by Hong Kong Environmental Protection Association during Christmas in 2013 and the Chinese New Year of 2014. Over 800 companies and organizations, ranging from property management companies, hotels and banks, participated and collected over hundreds of tons Christmas and blossom trees in the campaign.

Urban Group is a leading property asset and facility services group in Hong Kong. Currently, the Group manages 335 projects territory-wide and is serving 1 million people in Hong Kong.
