Four properties under Urban Group recently received the Good Class Indoor Air Quality (IQA) Certificates in the IAQ Certificate Award Ceremony cum Technical Seminar organized by the IAQ Information Centre under the Environmental Protection Department (EPD). The Certificate is awarded to premises that comply with the respective IAQ objectives to recognize their endeavours in implementing good practices and provide a pleasant indoor environment for the users.
Dr. Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, "Urban Group is committed to provide a healthy indoor environment for our customers and staff. We have been actively participating in the IAQ Certification Scheme for Offices and Public Places organized by EPD and have appointed approved examiners to assess the IAQ standard of our premises against the respective objectives. Moreover, we have implemented a number of enhancement projects to upgrade the indoor air quality of the properties under our services including installing air purifiers in the buildings, replacing stainless steel louvers and ducks in the PAU rooms, replacing PAU filters and scheduling regular cleaning for the filters and ducks to ensure the highest level of indoor air quality for all users."

Officiated at the Ceremony, Permanent Secretary for the Environment Ms Anissa Wong, JP praised the property management companies participated in the IAQ Certification Scheme for their commitment in providing good indoor air quality in the premises to protect public health and setting good examples in the industry.

We encourage our customers to participate in various kinds of recycling and energy saving activities organized by EPD and other organizations such as the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence, Source Separation Campaign, Power Smart Campaign, Wastewi$e Label and Energywi$e Label. The IAQ Certification of our properties well recognizes our contributions to build a green and sustainable environment in Hong Kong".
