Urban Group received the Outstanding Employer Award in the 6th Manpower Development Scheme Award Presentation Ceremony organised by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) on 4th January, 2014, recognizing its outstanding contributions to the ERB Manpower Development Scheme and endeavours in providing job opportunities for the retrainees.
The ERB Manpower Development Scheme Award is an annual event aiming to recognize outstanding retraining students, dedicated employers and partnering training organizations who actively support and participate in the Scheme.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group reveals, "We have established a long term working relationship with ERB and its partnering training organizations for over 10 years. Over the years, we actively support its retraining programmes and have employed over 600 retrainees in our managed properties. Apart from providing management and security jobs for the retrainees, we also open up new career opportunities for them such as concierge and club house assistants. Moreover, we contribute comments and suggestions on the contents and development of the ERB programmes to enhance the skills and employability of future retrainees."
Dr Edmond Cheng continues, "Urban has proven experiences in property and facility management services in Hong Kong.
