Three property volunteer teams under Urban Group, namely the Riviera Gardens Volunteer Team, City One Shatin Volunteer Team and Pok Hong Volunteer Team recently awarded the "Leading Caring Estate" Certificates in the "Caring for Our Community 2011-12" Campaign organized by the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service of the Social Welfare Department (SWD) to recognize the substantial voluntary services carried out by the teams over the past year.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group reveals, "Urban Group has been a member of the Sub-committee on Promotion of Volunteering in Community Organizations under the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service of SWD since 2000. We assist in promoting volunteerism to the people of Hong Kong through joining hands with SWD in a number of projects to spread the message of caring for the community to all walks of life in Hong Kong."
