48 buildings under Urban Group recently received 5 Gold Certificates, 11 Silver Certificates and 32 Blue Certificates in the Quality Water Recognition Scheme for Buildings organized by the Water Supplies Department (WSD) to recognize their endeavours in inspecting and maintaining a quality water supply system for the buildings.

Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group reveals, " The 48 buildings under Urban Group which received the Quality Water Certificates have participated in the scheme continuously over the past 5 years and their water supply systems have been certified at a high quality standard. "

We also introduce a comprehensive repair and maintenance programme for our managed properties aiming to continuously enhance the asset value and to maintain the condition of the property assets for our customers. These certificates reflect the effectiveness of our stringent inspection and maintenance practices to the plumbing systems and facilities of the buildings."
Under the WSD Quality Water Recognition Scheme for Buildings, the plumbing system of the buildings should be inspected at least every three months by licensed plumbers or qualified building services surveyors or engineers to ensure that they are in good condition. Any defect identified in the inspections should be promptly rectified. In addition, the water tanks should be cleaned at least every three months when water samples should be taken and tested for items specified and the test results should comply with relevant water quality indicators so as to receive the Quality Water Certificate.
