13 properties under Urban Group received a total of 27 awards in the 2010 Kowloon West Best Security Services Award jointly organized by the Regional Crime Prevention Office of the Kowloon West Headquarters of the Hong Kong Police, the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority (SGSIA) and the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC). Awards received by Urban include the "Star Managed Property", "Outstanding Managed Property", "Best Managed Property", "Outstanding Managed Carpark", "Outstanding Security Guard" and "Best Security Guard".
Dr Edmond Cheng, President of the HKAPMC and Managing Director of Urban Group thanked the security personnel for their contributions in preventing crime and providing a safe living environment for the residents during the award presentation ceremony. He also encouraged all awarded companies and personnel to continue maintaining a high quality service standard to assist the Police in preventing and fighting crime.
Dr Edmond Cheng said, "As a professional property asset and facility services company, Urban Group emphasizes very much on the training of our frontline security personnel to ensure that they possess relevant skills and knowledge as well as realize the importance in protecting the safety of our customers and their property assets. The Kowloon West Best Security Services Award aims to enhance the security services standards and security facilities of property management and security services companies in the region and to strengthen the quality of security personnel through professional trainings.
