Urban Group was recently appointed by the Government Property Agency (GPA) to manage 53 government properties and facilities in the New Territories region for a contract term of 4 years commencing 1st April 2011.
The contract comprises 14 Government Offices and Buildings, 30 Government Quarters and properties and 9 facilities with a total gross floor area of 544,080 square metres. Major properties and facilities include the Tsuen Wan Government Offices, Shatin Government Offices, Kwong Yuen Disciplined Services Quarters, Prince of Wales Hospital Staff Quarters, Lo Wu Terminal and the Man Kam To Border Control Point. The Contract Signing Ceremony was held on 4th March, 2011 at the GPA Headquarters in Wanchai.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group reveals, "Urban Group has substantial experiences in managing government properties and facilities since 1990s when we were appointed to manage the GPA properties. We were awarded the property management services contracts for its Hong Kong Island and New Territories properties and facilities in 2001, 2004 and 2007 respectively.
