56 buildings under Urban Group recently received 16 Silver Certificates and 40 Blue Certificates in the Quality Water Recognition Scheme for Buildings organized by the Water Supplies Department (WSD) to recognize their endeavours in inspecting and maintaining a quality plumbing system for the buildings.

The 16 buildings under Urban Group receiving the Silver Certificates have participated in the scheme for a consecutive 3 years and their water supply system have been certified at a high quality standard. This shows that we strictly implement our regular inspection and maintenance to the plumbing systems and building facilities of the buildings so as to ensure the provision of the best quality water to our customers."

Under the WSD "Quality Water Recognition Scheme for Buildings", the plumbing system of the buildings should be inspected at least every three months by licensed plumbers or qualified building services surveyors or engineers to ensure that they are in good condition. Any defect identified in the inspections should be promptly rectified. In addition, the water tanks should be cleaned at least every three months when water samples should be taken and tested for items specified and the test results should comply with relevant water quality indicators.
