Urban Group recently received 4 awards in the Construction Safety Forum and Award Presentation organized by the Occupational Safety and Health Council (OSHC). The awards were respectvely the "Best Property Management Company in OSH - Silver Award" and "The Best Performance Award - Silver Award" won by Urban Property Management Ltd - Parc Palais and the "Best Property Management Company in OSH - Bronze Award " and "The Best Performance Award - Bronze Award" won by Paramatta Estate Management Ltd - City One Shatin under Urban Group. The awards demonstrated the commitment of Urban Group in enhancing its occupational safety and health standards in the workplace as well as cultivating a safe and healthy culture among its employees.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group pointed out, "Urban Group always emphasizes on providing a safe and healthy workplace for our staff and business partners. The 2 winning properties actively implement our Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Policy through organizing various activities for staff members to promote the importance of OSH at work. They have also established a 'Fitting-out Control Team' to conduct regular inspections to the fitting-out works to protect the benefits of our customers as well as safeguarding the public."
"Moreover, we have established the 'Group Occupational Safety and Health Committee' to formulate our OSH Policy and to implement various activities to promote a safety culture across the Group. Over the past years, we have been actively participating in various occupational safety and health promotional campaigns organized by OSHC to benchmark and exchange experiences with our business counterparts as well as enhancing the knowledge and awareness of our staff in related areas."
Dr Cheng continued, "We are committed to enhancing our occupational safety and health standards at work. Our aim is to achieve zero accident rate in all our operations. We have appointed the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency to be our auditor to carry out regular surveillance audit to our operation systems. The audit findings substantiate our effort in developing a sound and sustainable Occupational Safety and Health Management System. We also provide related trainings and compile the Occupational Safety and Health Guide and Job Risks Assessment Quick Guide for all employees to ensure the implementation of the System."
