Urban Group and its 14 affiliated companies recently received the 2009/10 Caring Company Recognition from The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), within which 11 companies under the Group received the "5-Year Plus Caring Company" Certificates in recognition of their contributions and achievements in serving the society.
Urban Group has been supporting the Caring Company Scheme since 2002 and is actively involved in various social services and activities of HKCSS. It has been the Patron Club member of the Scheme since 2006 to join hand with other organizations to build a caring community in Hong Kong.
As a Coral Member of the Patron Club in the Caring Company Campaign, Mr K M So, Executive Director of Urban Group was invited to attend this year's Caring Company NGO Partnership Day cum Recognition Ceremony themed "We act because we care".
Mr K M So reveals, "Urban Group has been actively participating in the Caring Company Scheme since its inception in 2002. Totally, 11 companies in our Group are awarded as the '5- Year Plus Caring Company' and 1 company received the "5 Consecutive Years Caring Company' Certificate this year, recognizing our contributions to community involvement, caring for the employees and the environment. It also demonstrates our commitment in shouldering our corporate social responsibility."
