30 properties under Urban Group recently received 30 certificates in the PowerSmart Campaign organized by the Friends of the Earth (HK), commending their efforts and contributions to energy saving and environmental management.
Among the 30 awarded properties under Urban Group, include 5 commercial and industrial premises, 25 residential projects and carparks.

Mr. K M So, Executive Director of Urban Group stated that, "Urban Group always strives to fulfill our corporate social responsibility by participating in various environmental care activities. To achieve this goal, we have set our strategic focus for the Environmental Care Year in 2008/09. The 30 Certificates we received well recognize our contributions to environmental protection and green management."
Mr. K M So added, "Urban Group established its Green Care Committee in 2002, which initiates and implements our 4Rs Environmental Management Strategy of Remind, Replace, Reduce and Recycle in our huge service network of 200 projects, 1 million customers and 3,000 employees to promote green management services. Since 2005, Urban Group has received overwhelmingly more than 100 awards in environmental protection and green management from various organizations and government departments, reflecting our tireless efforts in sustainable development."
Power Smart campaign was launched in 2006, aims to encourage all of us to reduce electricity use at all time, as it is the quickest and most cost-effective way to reduce GHG emissions as well as air pollutants with practical actions to mitigate climate change.
