Urban Group recently received the Employer Merit Award in the 1st Manpower Development Scheme Award Presentation of the Employees Retraining Board (ERB). The award aims to recognize employers who actively support and participate in the ERB Manpower Development Scheme and have developed a good working relationship with various organizations to provide training opportunities for ERB's service targets.
Urban Group has been working closely with ERB since 1999. The Group has jointly organized various courses on property management and security services with ERB and employed a large number of the graduated retrainees. Urban was awarded the "Employers God Star Award - Platinum Award" in 2003 and received the "Employers Gold Star Award" in 2004. Besides, it has received Merit Award recognition in 2001 and 2006 respectively, showing its contributions to Hong Kong's manpower development.
Ms Janna Cheng, Senior Group Manager - Human Capital revealed, " Urban Group has been a long term partner of ERB. We actively support its retraining programmes over the years. Apart from providing employmenet opportunities for its graduates, we also contribute our comments and suggestions on the contents and development of the training programmes so as to enhance the skills and employdability of the retrainees. In addition, we have cooperated with ERB to launch the 'Health Link Foot Massage Services' in our properties, providing job opportunities for the retrainees to perform massage services to our customers."
