Grand Millennium Plaza managed by Urban Group recently received the Merit Award in the "Good Housekeeping Promotional Campaign" organized by the Occupational Safety and Health Council (OSHC). The award confirms the achievements of Urban Group in providing a safe and healthy working environment for its employees.
The "Good Housekeeping Forum and Award" Presentation Ceremony was held on 22nd February 2008. The activity was aiming to commend outstanding performance of private enterprises and public organizations in implementing and improving their safety and health level in the workplace.
Located at the central business hub of Sheung Wan, Grand Millennium Plaza under Urban Group has been implementing the 5S concept of "Structure, Systematize, Sanities, Standardize and Self-discipline" since early 2007. With extensive internal trainings and meetings as well as strong support from the Head Office, the property has successfully adopted 5S in its daily routines.
Executive Director of Urban Group Mr K M So said during the Ceremony, "Urban Group always places the occupational safety and health of our staff with high concern. We believe a safe and healthy working environment may not only benefit our staff, but also provides a guarantee for the safety and health of the public. We are delighted to obtain the Merit Award presented by OSHC. Apart from Grand Millennium Plaza, Pok Hong Estate under Urban Group also received a Certificate of Appreciation for its participation in the campaign."
Mr K M So continued, "By adopting the 5S concept, Grand Millennium Plaza has greatly enhanced the job satisfaction and devotion of its staff. The working environment and corporate image of Urban has also been enhanced with an improved workflow. More importantly, the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Group has been improved to fulfill our 'Customer First' service mission."
