Urban Group awarded Corporate Membership by The Hong Kong Institute of Marketing

Urban Group was recently received the "Corporate Membership" from The Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (HKIM) to recognize its achievements in marketing strategies and its professional status in the industry, making it the FIRST Property Asset and Facility Management Company to receive this professional marketing qualification.

The Hong Kong Institute of Marketing is a non-profit and independent marketing professional body in Hong Kong, aiming to promote professionalism of marketing practitioners and enhance excellence in parity with world standards with the Chief Executive of the HKSAR Government as its Honourable Patron.  At present, there are altogether only 20 "Corporate Members" in the Institute, which were nominated from various industries, including both listed companies and multinational conglomerates.  They were nominated by stringent screening process to ensure that their marketing strategies and professional marketing practices were well-acknowledged in the marketplace. 

Meanwhile, to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of HKIM, a Gala Dinner cum First Congregation of HKIM Honourary Member was held on 22nd November 2007 at BP International House in Tsimshatsui.  The objective of establishing the Honourary Membership is to recognize the effort and achievements of senior management of enterprises in driving professionalism in performing various marketing functions.  Managing Director of Urban Group, Dr Edmond Cheng was also nominated to be one of the 12 Honourary Members of the Institute.

Managing Director of Urban Group, Dr Edmond Cheng says, "It is our honour to be invited to be the Corporate Member of HKIM.  As a Premier Real Estate Service Brand in Hong Kong, Urban Group always emphasizes the formulation and development of corporate marketing strategies and allocates considerable resources in brand building and management throughout the years."

Dr Edmond Cheng continues, "Being the Corporate Member of HKIM, we will encourage our staff to participate in various professional marketing courses and networking activities so as to broaden their knowledge in strategic marketing and to raise their professionalism."

Dr Cheng says "I am grateful to have been awarded the Honourary Member qualification.  As a matter of fact, the marketing strategies of Urban Group have been widely recognized by our counterparts in the industry.  In future, we will continue to fulfill our Total Quality Management corporate direction by striving for the best marketing approaches to maintain our leading position in the market."
