The Urban Premier Football Team, comprising 12 employees under Urban Group, recently participated in the “2007 Annual Football Challenge” organized by the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC) and won the 1st Runner-up by a strong team spirit and outstanding performance.
The “2007 Annual Football Challenge” was held at Morse Park in Kowloon and Victoria Park in Causeway Bay respectively. It is an annual sports activity organized by the Association to invite member companies and various disciplinary forces to participate, aiming to foster a good working relationship among member companies. This year, totally 17 members companies and 3 guest teams from the Hong Kong Police Force, the Fire Services Department and the Auxiliary Medical Services have joined the competition. The Challenge was a 7-a-side competition, which was divided into 2 rounds of game: Preliminary and Final. In the preliminary round, it adopted the round ribbon format and in the Finals was the single match knockout format. Before the Challenge, the Urban Premier Football Team has already gone through intensive trainings to prepare for the game to enable the Team to finally win the 1st Runner-up in the Challenge.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group said that he was very pleased on the achievement of the Urban Premier Football Team in the Challenge.
