Providing job opportunities to establish social capital
Urban Group and Employees Retraining Board jointly launch
"Health " Massage Service

Urban Group started its partnership with the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) in 1999 to offer a number of property management and security services training courses and employ a great number of retraining graduates.

In 2007, Urban Group and ERB, coordinated by4 NGOs including Christian Action, Methodist Centre, Y.W.C.A. and New Territories Association Retraining Centre, join hands to launch the "Health " Massage Service for the customers of 6 properties under its management including Illumination Terrace in Causeway Bay, The Merton in Kennedy Town and 2 Park Road in Mid-Levels on the Hong Kong Island; Parc Palais in King's Park, Kowloon; and Sereno Verde in Yuen Long and South Hillcrest in Tuen Mun in the New Territories, to provide job opportunities for the retrainees of the Board.

To promote this value added services to its customers, Urban Group and ERB launches the "Health Link" Massage Service on 24th March 2007 at Parc Palais, 18 Wylie Road, King's Park, Kowloon. Officiating guests include Mr K M So, Executive Director of Urban Group; Mr Patrick Pang, Deputy Executive Director of ERB; and representatives of the 4 NGOs. The retrainees also offer massage service to the guests during the Ceremony.

Mr K M So, Executive Director of Urban Group reveals, "Urban Group always strives to provide new value added services for our customers to fulfill their needs. We have been a long-term partner with the Employees Retraining Board over the years and we trust that theservices provided by the retrainees are reliable with their professional training and strict assessment. We hope to provide a platform for the retrainees to demonstrate their skills and help improve employment in Hong Kong through this service."

"The 'Health Link' Massage Service has been in a trial run in 6 properties under Urban Group which was well received by our customers. We aim to launch the service to every property under our managementso as to provide a new value added services to our customers as well as to provide employment opportunities to the retrain" added Mr K M So.
