The Riviera Gardens Management Office under Urban Group in Tsuen Wan has recently participated in the Hong Kong Protection Festival 2006-07 Waste Electrical & Electronics Equipment (“WEEE”) Recycling Day Campaign in collaboration with Rivera Gardens Estate Owners’ Committee and Tsuen Wan District Councillor, Mr Timothy P. T. Chow Office. The activity received overwhelming supports from the residents of the estate, with encouraging results of over 1,400 pieces of household electrical and electronic appliances, computers and accessories were collected.
Mr Harvey Liu, Group Manager - Property Asset Management of Urban Group states, “Riviera Gardens has through different communication channels been actively launching various environmental care activities to promote green messages to our customers. Over the years, The estate has regularly participated in a large number of green activities organized by the Environmental Protection Department and other green groups like Source Separation of Waste Scheme, Mobile Environmental Resources Centre, Green Information Station, Old book, CDs and rechargeable battery recycling schemes. All these programmes have received overwhelming support and participation from our customers.”
Mr Harvey Liu continues, “Urban Group has actively launching various green policies as well as recycling programmes which lead us to obtain several outstanding achievements in environmental protection and care. With the full support of Urban Group, the Riviera Gardens Management Office will continuously strive for the Urban Group’s ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ mission to enhance the environmental protection awareness of residents through different kinds of recycling campaigns.”
Riviera Gardens in Tsuen Wan has been recognized as one of the model green estates in the locale. In recent years, under the encouragement of Urban Group and the owners’ committee of the estate, the estate has obtained a number of accolades in the society including the Gold WasteWi$e Logo by implementing its green management policies so as to spread the message of environmental care to its customers.
