Urban Group participates in the Green Power Hike 2007 organized by the environmental protection advocate Green Power for the 5th consecutive year by enrolling two teams of 8 persons in the annual walkathon this year. Among them, the ¡§Urban Premier Walkers¡¨ formed by 4 staff of the Group won the 1st Runner-up of the 50 km Property Management Cup by completing the journey in 6 hours 45 minutes; whereas the ¡§International Property Management Team¡¨ also under Urban Group, completed the walk in 3 hours 36 minutes, ranking the 4th place in the 25 km Property Management Cup.
Green Power Hikeis the largest scale hiking event with the longest history on the Hong Kong Island. The walkathon is in its 14th year in 2007. Donations from this year¡¦s walkathon reached HK$3 million which will be used to fund various environmental education projects enabling the next generation to enjoy a greener and brighter future.
There were totally 20 property management companies competing in the 50 km and 25 km Property Management Cup this year. The team members of Urban Group have undergone intensive trainings over the past few months to prepare for the event. The perseverance and good team spirit enable them to excel their performance by completing the 50 km and 25 km Hong Kong Trail respectively with their best time.
