Urban Group awarded the FIRST HKQAA Corporate Certificate
in Hong Kong's Property Asset and Facility Management Industry

Urban Group was recently awarded the HKQAA Corporate Certificate by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) to become the FIRST private property asset and facility management company in Hong Kong to receive this quality accolade. The award of the HKQAA Corporate Certificate has acknowledged the determination of Urban Group in implementing quality management systems for its subsidiaries.
The Corporate Certificate was awarded to HKQAA's certificate holders who have met the criteria that all subsidiaries/divisions/operating units within an applicant organization's core activities should have been certified by HKQAA against a single common standard and that the organization must be holder of a minimum of 3 certificates of the applicable standard to be qualified. Up to date, HKQAA has only issued 18 Corporate Certificates and Urban Group was among one of them, showing the achievement of the Group in pursing the highest service quality.
According to Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group, "We successfully became the FIRST private property and facility management company in Hong Kong to be awarded the ISO9001 Quality Assurance Certificate in full scope in 1997, which has been successfully converted to the 2000 version in 2002. During the period from 2004 to 2005, we have assisted our associated companies to receive and renew the ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certificates respectively. In September 2006, Broadway-Nassau Investments Limited under Urban also received the ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 Certificates. These achievements has demonstrated our consistent pursuit of quality management and consolidated our pioneer position as the Quality Market Leader in the Hong Kong property asset and facility management industry."
Dr Edmond Cheng further pointed out, "With a commitment to continuous improvement, Urban Group has established different audit teams to oversee the integrity, effectiveness and efficiency of its management systems across all functional areas. Regular audits are undertaken by HKQAA for verification of our management system performance with best practices and international standards."
