Urban Group wins 2 Major Awards in the
Property Management Cup of the 2006 Green Power Hike

Following the participation of the past three years in the Green Power Hike organized by the environmental protection advocate Green Power, Urban Group again enrolled two teams of 8 persons in the annual walkathon this year. Among them, the "Urban Premier Walkers" formed by 4 staff of the Group became 1st Runner-up of the 50 km Property Management Cup by completing the journey in a record breaking result of 6 hours 44 minutes; whereas the "International Property Management Team" also under Urban Group won the 2nd Runner-up in the 25 km Property Management Cup.
Green Power Hike is the largest hiking event with the longest history on the Hong Kong Island. The walkathon is in its 13th year in 2005 whereas donations from this meaningful event will be funding the environmental education projects, enabling the next generation to enjoy a greener and brighter future.
There were totally 16 property management companies competing in the Property Management Cup this year. The team members of Urban Group have undergone intensive trainings over the past few months to prepare for the event. The perseverance and good team spirit enable them to excel their performance by completing the 50 km and 25 km Hong Kong Trail respectively with their best time.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, "Urban Group always supports and encourages staff members to join various charitable and social events to promote our Core Value of "Community Care". We have been participating in the Green Power Hike in the last 4 years and most of the team members participated in this year's walkathon are also in their 4th consecutive years of joining the walk. With strong determination to outperform their own records and their perseverance in the harsh trainings, members of the two teams have won the full support from all our staff."
Dr Edmond Cheng continued, "We have formed a supporting team to support our team members at various checkpoints and provide the necessary materials and provisions for them. This is a good demonstration of Urban's team spirit and our heartiest wish to raise more fund for the charity."
