12 Companies under Urban Group awarded
Caring Company Recognition by HKCSS

Twelve companies under Urban Group were awarded the Caring Company Logo by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) in recognition of their contribution and outstanding achievements in serving the society.
HKCSS launched the "Caring Company Scheme" in 2002 with the mission of cultivating corporate citizenship and strategic partnership between the business and the social service sectors. Companies being awarded the Caring Company Logo must satisfy at least 2 out of the 6 criteria of Volunteering, Family Friendly, Employing Vulnerable, Partnering, Mentoring and Giving.
Urban Property Management Limited under Urban Group has been awarded the Caring Company Logo since 2002 for 4 consecutive years. Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group revealed, "The award of the Caring Company Logo to the 12 companies under Urban Group signifies our contributions to community involvement. It also demonstrates the commitment of Urban in implementing our Corporate Social Responsibility. We have been receiving the largest number of this recognition among our counterparts in the territory, which we want to take the lead to encourage more property management companies to shoulder corporate social responsibility."

Dr Edmond Cheng continued, "2005 is our 'Caring Hong Kong Year'. Through the partnership with Po Leung Kuk, we have carried out more than 10 social service activities over the past year. In addition, we have set up a network of 38 property volunteer teams in 2005 which have carried out a total of over 100 social service activities throughout the year. Urban Group would maintain our strategic goal in 2006 to intensify our efforts through our established social network with various NGOs, as well as encouraging more properties to set up their own volunteer teams to collaborate the joint efforts of our staff members and customers to build up a harmonious society."
