Three Security Guards under Urban Group awarded by
Permanent Secretary for Economic Development and Labour Matthew Cheung

Three security guards of Mei Foo Sun Chuen under Urban Group recently commended by Mr. Matthew Cheung, J.P., Permanent Secretary for Economic Development and Labour, for their contribution in combating illegal employment for the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Complimented by Mr. Matthew Cheung, J.P., the 3 awarded security guards of Mei Foo Sun Chuen under Urban Group are respectively Mr. Lam Koon Man, Mr. Lui Bo Shan and Mr. Lo Tat Choi. They had identified 4 illegal interior decoration workers attempting to gain entry to the large private housing estate with forged Hong Kong identity cards from May to July 2005. The alert guards called the police right after the illegal workers entered the building and then helped the police arrest the illegal workers and the contractor successfully. Mr Cheung appraised that the professionalism and high alertness of the 3 security guards in these incidents relied very much on the quality on-the-job trainings provided by Urban.

Mr. Matthew Cheung stated at the Award Presentation Ceremony that, "We highly appreciate the 3 professional security guards of Urban Group for helping the Government combat illegal employment in the past 3 months. Their outstanding performance contributes a lot to the interest of local workers of our society."
