Urban Group appoints Two Executive Directors
to cope with Corporate Growth and Development

The Board of Directors of Urban Group is pleased to announce that Mr K M So and Mr Francis Chiu have been appointed as Executive Director of the company with effect from 1st May 2005.

Mr. K. M. So joined Urban Group in 1992 as Group Technical Manager and was promoted to Director - Facility Management in 2000. Since then, Mr So has been responsible for projects and operations in technical, property asset and facility management, quality management and I.T. He holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering Business Management from Warwick University, U.K. and various certificates in environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, building services, industrial safety, project management, fire services engineering and quality management. Mr. So is the President of the Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executives Society in 2004, a member of the International Facility Management Association, the Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate Administration, the Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Association, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers and the Association of Cost Engineers. He is designated as a Real Estate Administrator and a Certified Facility Manager.

Mr. Francis Chiu first joined New World Group in 1987, then NWS and Urban Group in 2000. Mr. Chiu is a graduate of French's ESSEC Business School in Paris and Cornell University, Ithaca New York, USA, with a joint master's degree. Mr. Chiu is a Chartered Management Accountant by training, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, England, a Fellow and Regional Board Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, England, a Certified Hotel Administrator and a Certified Human Resource Executive of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, USA. He was French Government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship Winner between 1989 and 1991. Mr. Chiu held various senior positions included General Managers, China Directors, China Operations Controller and Executive Directors in sizeable Asian and multinational corporations in the Greater China region in the past 16 years, focused on profitability, marketing, re-engineering, human capital and market entry. His area of responsibilities in Urban Group includes overseeing portfolio of private and public residential assets, commercial facilities, and government property agency projects, business development initiatives, china businesses portfolio, corporate communication, corporate branding, corporate marketing, corporate human capital, corporate administration and supply chain management.

Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group expects that the new appointment of Mr So and Mr Chiu will add values to the already strong and competent operational teams of Urban and initiates future business synergies for rapid expansion of the company.
