Urban Group nominated as
Best Employers in Asia - Hong Kong for 2 consecutive times

Following the success in 2003, Urban Group was nominated again as the 2005 Best Employers of Asia - Hong Kong by international human resources consultant Hewitt Associates to become the FIRST Property and Facility Group in Hong Kong to have obtained this international recognition for 2 consecutive times.
Urban Group is ranked the Third Best Employers in Asia - Hong Kong in 2005, overriding those international and listed conglomerates in the territory. In addition, Urban was ranked 5th in the same selection in 2003, signifying the fulfillment of TQM Concept adopted by the company.
According to Mr Vincent Gauthier, General Manager of Hewitt Associates, "Being selected as the Best Employer in Asia - Hong Kong, Urban Group has demonstrated their consistency in inspiring great performance from their people; managing their business in ways that build long term success and sustainability; delivering outstanding service to customers; and creating and managing high-performing corporate culture."

This recognition truly reflects Urban's implementation and fulfillment of TQM concept of continuous improvement and our success in building up a fully engaged and committed staff force in Urban."
The Best Employers in Asia selection launched by Hewitt Associates was conducted bi-annually through a highly systematic and comprehensive way to explore the links between business performance and people practices. The selection methodology included interviews with the top management, in-depth evaluation of the human resources systems and practices and a questionnaire survey of the frontline staff.
Dr Edmond Cheng emphasized, "Our staff are the most important human capital in Urban. We have successfully recruited and retained those quality and talented staff members to work for us. Moreover, we have strategically designed a full range of comprehensive human capital development programmes for different levels of employees. Thus, we can ensure a continuous pipeline of effective talent with the best performance to serve our customers."

In addition, Mr Francis Chiu, Director of Corporate Services of Urban Group was invited to the Best Employers Conference held on 13th April 2005 to share the success of Urban Group in engaging quality people and aligning the value of their human sources with the corporate direction of the company.
