Urban Group and the 3 properties under its management received 2 Green SME Award - Certificate of Merit, 3 Gold Wastewi$e Certifications and a Wastewi$e Certification in the 2004 Hong Kong Eco-Business Awards, reflecting their outstanding contribution to waste reduction and green property management.

Since 1999, Park Vale and Harbour Heights have launched the "Premier Environmental Care Strategy" at the properties. With the goal of providing a green living environment to the customers, the 2 properties have adopted the energy-saving policy and organizied various recycling programmes, such as used books, CDs and rehabilitation aids recycling campaigns, lift service programme, the Green Station Information Centre and the Environmental Home Exhibition jointly organized with the Environmental Protection Department.

Moreover, Urban Group and the 3 awarded properties have achieved more than 8 objectives in waste reduction in 2004. The Gold Wastewi$e Logo received by Urban Group and its managed properties truly reflects their active participation in waste reduction and environmental care activities including recycling initiatives for paper, batteries, stationary etc.
